            You can see the utter imperviousness to the main points used in 
the logic of cell phone advocates. The quote could just as easily read:

             "Cell phones destroy a state of wildness Trail planners have 
been working on for years, etc."


             Some Trail members just refuse under any circumstances to allow 
the basic premise of an AT wilderness ethic. The AT is based on its wilderness 
ethic. Therefore these people refuse to allow the AT. Just go back and read 
the threads. They never mention it. They are arguing the Trail as they see it 
in their heads, not the one that was planned and available to anyone who seeks 
it from the multiple sources in which it is spelled out.


             Rafe gives us a perfect example of HYOH's main use as a "tool" - 
that is blowing-off valid Trail concerns...
