[at-l] Trail Gluttons Unite!

Well, I'll use this as a intro into a question I've wanted to ask; what's your worst on-trail culinary disaster? I

There are two things here, neither of which are actually heinous.

(1) One hiking partner decided to carry Grape Nuts for her breakfasts. I can still remember sitting on a log at Lick Log Gap listening to her crunch. It was so loud that it was echoing off the rocks, and we were both laughing so hard that she couldn't chew. Too funny!

(2) Then there was the year that I took nothing but dried fruit for breakfasts on a section hike. The first morning out, the fruit got bigger and bigger in my mouth, and I couldn't swallow it. To this day, I can't eat dried fruit, and that was probably eight years ago.

You know, I still haven't solved the problem of breakfast. I don't like the soft breakfast bars, cereal really hasn't worked for me, cooking takes too long, etc. Dilemmas, dilemmas.
