I saw Trail Dog on the trail north of Newfound Gap on Thursday. It was
7:30pm and he still had 13 miles to go where the Clingman's Dome Rd comes close the
the trail.

He said he'd be finished on Springer Monday night (tonight) doing 50 miles
per day which has been his average of late. He looked great and wasn't carrying
any gear, or even a water bottle that I could see, just a rain jacket for
protection and warmth.
