I have a workable idea.

Why not do it as a cartoon (like A Shark's Tale) and just use Newman's and Redford's voices? 

It could work, don't laugh.

And then the cartoonists/webdesigners could use all the photos of the AT that are all over the Internet to create their version of the AT.

If they're going to make a . . . movie (got distracted), I'd rather see it made as a cartoon than see all that equipment lugged up the Trail for a few 'authentic' photos to meld with the computer generated AT.

  I think that most people won't notice and the few that do will be trying to notice mistakes through the whole film. Who would want it filmed on the trail to begin with. With any luck, they'll computer-generate the whole AT and leave the actual AT (and any other place that looks similar) alone.
