Mea Culpa!  I will have to get reading -- a good summer activity when  it 
rains -- about the AT.  All of my reading has been preparation type  stuff and 
guidebooks, etc., so what are the basic texts for a solid foundation  in AT 
History?  
 
Anyone on the list can give answers to this question.  How about it  
Librarians?
