         I'm sure the person who quickly resorts to filters and issues such a 
grossly oversimplified version of the AT was really interested in such a 
conversation.

          The real intent is to downplay conservation efforts in order to 
make the majority of AT no-nothings feel better about their Trail views.

           It's obvious to the people who care and just an opportunity to 
marginalize to those who don't.

       What we really need is a permanent conservation description of the AT 
for once and all. That way we can identify such inappropriate attacks on the 
AT's mission without involving any unwanted conflicts. 

         Trail philosophers these people are not...
