Lived in Canada for eight years, he was visiting scientist at
the University of Guelph while I was a Ph.D. student. While
his books are difficult to read he is a marvelous essayist
(sp?) and a dynamic speaker. He has little love for the tree-
hugging enviromentalists, but on the other hand he really
hates capitalist. Economically he is more in tune with Ivan
Toffler (Third Wave) who was widely haled in Canada during
the 70's. Enviromentally he is a pragmatist. A very
interesting person. And he doen't suffer fools lightly.
