             I'm sorry but this doesn't strike me as a very respectful 
consideration of what the Trail is, but rather looks like a superficial reaction to 
difficult Trail matters. I think its "HYOH" origin is apparent and people who 
have given greater consideration to the Trail and its purpose see it this way 
as well - though they prefer diplomacy. 

          Anyone who needs to push Benton MacKaye from his own creation is 
only speaking loudly about what I'm getting at. These people forget that Avery 
would probably be back in Hartford doing condo land deal legal cases if it 
weren't for MacKaye.

     Honestly, I don't understand what statements like, "those who invent 
something can't control what happens to it in the future," mean other than being 
calls for less backing...
