ID is one of the most disgusting legal precedents ever created in this
country. If a man doesn't own his own land, what does he own?
Some people believe that ownership of land is evil. Who gives anyone the
right to own a piece of land? The Kings of Europe stole (claimed) land that
wasn't theirs, gave it to those who raped the land and sent wealth back to the
King, and abused the native Americans who had traveled the land for
centuries. The concept of land ownership comes out of a feudal mindset.
ID is also evil when it takes land for an enterprise such as in Connecticut
where it was deemed that ID could produce more tax revenue. It also creates
ill will among the neighbors of the trail who have family ties to land from
past generations. Better to get "First Refusal rights" than steal what has
been someone else's property.
