The judgement Weary
issues that Bryson "had no answers" is also at odds with Bryson's output as
a writer.

Perhaps there are a some authors unwilling to discuss their work with an
interested audience. Perhaps the few hundred yards from Bryson's home to the
lecture hall was just too far for him to walk. And, just perhaps, Bryson had no
answers. Unless we hear from the author, we'll never know. As far as Bryson's
stature as a best selling author is concerned, and the inference that WITW is a
"classic," popularity has seldom been an accurate measure of quality.
