[at-l] question about snoring



Greg gives a nice thumb nail description of at least two procedures for 
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). All procedures tend to be very painful. I 
recall tonsillectomy as a kid, and suspect this is even worse. It is 
reserved for the 50% who do not respond to CPAP, or who will not use it - 
such as while hiking.

Like all surgical procedures, it must be considered with a real world doc. 
There are other procedures and experimental procedures, such as radio-wave 
ablation of retro lingual tissue (think of a microwave to your throat).
