what if you are riding your bike and there is a
major river you need to cross and the only bridge around...for a long,
long way...is on an interstate? How is a bike rider to cross a river in
such a case? For instance...if you are inVicksburg, MS and want to cross
the Mississisiiisiisppi into Loseyanna, what would you do??

Stand by the side of the nearest ramp and wait for a pick-up truck to come
along and then hitch a ride across the bridge OR go down to the docks and get a
boat ride across the river OR get a raft and float the bike across the
river. I wonder if there is a pedestrian walk-way and could the bike be walked
across the river?
How long is the bridge? Could you race across the bridge riding the bike
before getting caught? Is there another bridge within a few miles that could
be used?
Oh, the possibilities are endless!
