OK, having grown frustrated with being amongst the last to know, I have
changed my options to NOT digest mode.
"Stitches" asked me recently why I was even on digest mode, because there
really isn't that much list traffic, usually.
Seems as though there was a problem with the list recently, too.
Also, "Felix" seemed to have gotten a bit peeved not too long ago, when the
entire digest was inadvertently appended to one of my posts.
Two posts in the most recent digest to which I feel compelled to respond.
1. "Is there a time in the day when it is simply too late to summit due to
time constraints to hike back down
with some daylight to spare?"
I've heard it said that there's no such thing as a stupid question, but that
one teeters on the brink of the abyss. Since I cannot control myself at
times:
Actually by a fortuitous quirk, a satellite reflects the sun onto Katahdin,
so that one may depart at midnight in full daylight. Sorry, NO
self-restraint sometimes...
2. "HiYALL!!! I found two of the best liquid nutritional supplements on the
planet @ www.worldhealthpower.com/trust, SeaPowerPlus and brand NEW
OxyPowerPlus. I will be taking them on my AT hike this year for sure!"
Crass commercialism it IS, "Weary"...if you click on the link, the owner of
the site is the jackass who posted it. I seriously DOUBT he's "taking them
on my AT hike this year for sure!"; he's just the latest "snake oil
salesman" comin' down the pike. "Felix" was quite correct in his reaction.
Suh-LAM!!!
