North of the Adirondacks the snow is rapidly melting but the river at the 
bottom of the hill is just breaking up and the ponds are still frozen 
except around the edges. Snow showers are a possibility this weekend. 
Winter may still take one or two curtain bows before retiring to it's 
dressing room.
