Forget the calendar, the weather man, and the ground hog. As 
of today, at the moment of first peep, spring sprang. Winter 
officially holds no dominion here, or at least within 
earshot of the jubilant cries of miniscule amphibians, 
slowly gaining toward a chorus, in sequence, one thawing 
pond at a time.
