[at-l] Speaking of wildlife...



In Minnesota, a sow's home range is 2-6 square miles. The 
breeding territory of an adult male can cover over 100 square miles to overlap with many female home ranges.

When you say 100 square miles, it sounds huge.  Actually, it's 10 miles by 10 miles, which means that, if the bear were sitting right in the center, it would be 5 miles in any direction, with a little extra added to get out to the corners of the square.  <G>  That doesn't sound nearly as huge.
