doesn't necessarily conflict with anything I wrote.
What you are seeing there is the sales pitch to a 1920's
government. The wilderness and its function was piggybacked in...
Would love to ask Baxter just how much he was influenced by MacKaye?
Hmm, a wilderness park built right at the same time as MacKaye's push for
regional planning "development"?
