[at-l] hiking poles revisted redux

FWIIW -- I have hike far more miles with a single (as in one-at-a-time, not
the same one for all those years :-o}) "natural" (most of them bamboo) pole,
that I have hiked with the pair of the high tech style, which I now use.

And, I, too, found Mags' observation valid, albeit not my current style. As
always HYOH for in fact (most likely) YMMV.

As someone who has hiked (all them) miles with bamboo BECAUSE
bamboo is lighter, cheaper, stronger, and (well) "prettier" than
anything else out there, I found Mags' observation right on
target.
