[at-l] Watch question for everyone....
OB,
You gotta be pullin' my chain...instant horoscope? For real? Geez...now I
gotta have one of those, too! LOL
That Helix does look awful big, and the face measures 2" across. I may go with
either one of the Nikes...They come in at 1.5" and 1.75". It'll prolly look
like I've put a wall clock on me wittwle wist! 'Course, I guess if they made
them any smaller it'd take a magnifying glass to read them! LOL

Shelly wonders about watches, with her eye on the Timex Helix "all things
for all people" watch.
I got mine at Campmor for pretty cheap. I've worn it hiking twice, over
about 3 weeks of hiking time. I don't like it.
The stem knobby thing has protrusions to make it easy to adjust with gloves
on. The problem is that anything can grab those protrusions. Even though
the watch is in the "Locked" position, once that stem is out, your watch
starts changing time with wild abandon. I've found myself with absolutely
no idea about what time it is ("Does anyone really care?") other than sun
position. In the thermometer/altimeter setting, the time is in too small
letters for me to see without glasses. The thermometer only offers a guess,
as it is usually 5-10 F warmer if you where it.
The plastic crystal scratches easily. The Indiglo light isn't all that
bright, especially as the crystal scratches and old RK eyes try to focus.
But it is lightyears better than the Casio that it replaced.
I've been looking at the Nike, occasionally on sale at Campor. I've also
been looking at some watch that my dotter, the marathoner, likes with pulse
and instant horoscope.
