What's more interesting is some of the claims made by members of Team
Mountain Laurel Design.
Among others....
? 2003 - PCT south to north then north to south in one 6.5 month period using
standard food drop techniques (no vehicle support team)
? 1995- Two lengths of the 211 mile John Muir Trail, 2.4 lb base pack weight
in 9 days
? 1997 - unreported completion of the AT and PCT in one nine month period
? 1998 - completion of the AT in 49 days, no vehicle support, standard food
supply techniques, 3.6lb base pack weight.
I find some of these hard to believe, especially since they've never been
discussed before that I'm aware of.
YMMV,
