Me too.  The residual psychological effects will take awhile to work themselves
out.  To focus on the the fence is a great idea--reality only admits so many
probable events whereas your imagination can range over the remotely possible
and really confuse things.

I think "Middleun" is a great name but "Yogi-un" and "Survivor-un" are obvious
choices.

I dunno what will happen to the dog (In any city the dog would be either
illegal to own in the first place or put down in any case) but "Dogsbane" comes
to mind.  Bite her and die.  Wait for a greater age to try that one: too
gruesome for her now.

How about "Fortitude-un?"
