Both my Granddads were bacca farmers.  Both made their own chaw -- one a plug 
made in a press from dark leaf and blackstrap, the other a twist from flue 
leaf.

I cannot remember not have access to it, or when/how I learned to chew.  By 
the time I was eight I was able to take a drink w/o removing the cud.
