I recently heard the same thing.  I spoke with a couple of doctors, they 
had never heard of it.  One is an avid outdoor type.  My step-daughter, 
a registered dietitian and practicing athletic trainer with a masters in 
AT, could not verify it either.

Does anyone have a reliable source of info about this?
