[at-l] Ice bound in Atlanta

While the folks in PARUCK are having fun (at least I trust they got there),
I am huddled here, all alone in ATL with my boxer and my computer, smelling
a beef stew slowly simmering. The great ice storm of 2005 has been a bust
so far, with an icy coating on the ground and grass, but little problem for
the power lines. No one in their right minds are out driving, and only
Southern kids consider this a sledding opportunity. Yes, there are kids on
sleds riding on the ice sheet of our street.
While I'm thus occupied, I realized I forgot to go out and purchase ready
made biscuits for my stew. Since the excellent cooks of the SORUCK are here
today, would someone be willing to go off topic and share a biscuit recipe.
I have buttermilk powder, flour, milk, butter, but don't think I have any
baking soda. Do I even need yeast? Someone rescue me from stew with a slice
of bread!
