[at-l] Re: Grits - the last words(s)-morphed to potatoes

Well, store bought in-the-bag 'hash browns' are pretty bland (catsup
helps!). What I really like is a place that does country cookin' - they
use real baked potatoes (left over from dinner the night before is good),
chunk them up along with onions and fry them, and liberally season with salt
and pepper. I liberally add the catsup. Along with eggs, bacon and/or
sausage, grits (+salt & butter), maybe a biscuit and some gravy or homemade
jam - yum! Of course, if you're hiking later that morning, the first big
hill is a little tough to pull toting all the extra "bulk", but you won't
much feel like lunch until sometime in the afternoon.

I happen to like malt vinegar and salt on fries - used to date a guy who
lives in the Lehigh Valley although I've not been to that particular bar you
mentioned. I need to finish up hiking the AT in PA - something to look
forward to next time I'm in the state.
