I don't see how her identical message changes whomever it
originates from? Are you taking an "elitist" stance where some opinions count
and others don't?
The clear shame here is that some of the most easily acquired lands
adjacent to the AT, because of their timberland status, have resulted in one
of the worst short-shriftings of the AT and a huge insult delivered by our new
corporate lobby government. A Shenandoah-like park should have protected the
AT along the northern section now being thrown to the wolves as part of a newer
deal from a poisonous administration whose flagrant one sidedness represents
a breach in government as far as I'm concerned. What would this have cost
compared to a $300 billion invasion with no guaranteed outcome? The half mile
buffer Plum Creek wants to allow the AT is merely a cost of business adjustment.
This is the government's compensation for the sprawl juggernaut the east coast
has seen since the last park was made. At a time when common sense would
dictate a park should be made around the AT in Maine in response to the Trail and
it's purpose...
We'll call Quimby and see if I'm eligible to say that TJ...
