[at-l] SORUCK report...

Hey Pittsburg.

I just wanted to say THANKS! for all your work on this. I have been a
lurker on this list for quite awhile (years <g>), and probably woudn't have
gone to a SORUCK if it weren't so close to home. NOC was great, the
facilities were great, the food and company were amazing!!! I had so much
fun, and am even more inspired to section hike the AT. I have hiked quite a
few miles in the Southeast, but never really thought I'd be interested in
much past Virginia (except the 100 mile wilderness) until I saw the
wonderful slideshows and heard about others experiences.

It was really cool putting faces to trail names, and I loved meeting
everyone. My two favorite parts....helping gadawg in the kitchen...because
I got to sample the best of the feast <g> and she (YES SHE! <VBG>) is a
blast, and I really enjoyed the music and visiting in cabin C on Sat. night.
Wonderful!

It was great meeting Hummingbird, Dutch Treat, Waterfall, Sheltowee, Cheryl,
Sly, Pittsburg and Barb, Mainframe, Michelle and Moose, Dawinda and
Nimblewill Nomad, Tinman, Clyde...and so many others. I hope I get to keep
in touch with everyone. I'll be looking forward to the next one. And if
anyone needs me to lead some hikes at the next SORUCK, if it's at
NOC....just let me know. We could do more AT, Bartram Trail or Smokies
hikes. Everything is so close if we are at NOC again.

Oh and if anyone needs shuttles or assistance in the Smokies or the
Nantahala's on your hikes just let me know. I'd be more than happy to help.
