[at-l] Another Fund Raiser Option

I do agree with OB as I prefer to separate my hiking activities with my
fundraising. In fact, I just spoke with two hikers who are not going to the
SoRUCK because of the fundraising. When did the fundraising idea start
anyhow? We never used to have it. I think it is okay to have a can or
something with voluntary donations to a cause but not "required" ones. How
do others feel and does anyone remember how this got started?
