As good as any I know. I'm familiar with it from my BFA in ceramics.
Flocculation is a bad thing for a potter. It was meant that your glaze was
settling out and required constant stirring to get an even coat on the pot
you were glazing, consequently we used deflocculants to keep things in
suspension.
I can see where this could be a good way to purify water though. I note
that the article said P&G had tried marketing it without much success.
Perhaps they tried the wrong market and some letters from hikers would set
them on a better path to potential customers.
