SORUCK update (12/10/04)...

I will build a website tonight and hopefully have it ready for
tomorrow, then I'm gonna get the word out to all of the AT websites and
forums that I know of...

Everyone should bring a flashlight (or head lamp, or lantern, or some
such thing) for walking around outdoors after dark...

We have 22 people responding/reserving so far.  Most everyone wishes to
stay in a cabin.  Some will stay in the bunkhouses if the cabins fill
up.  At least one couple is staying in their van (no fee involved with
this).  At least one person wishes to tent.  There will be an
opportunity to stealth tent, as long as it is not twenty people.  A few
would be fine, but if appears that it will get out of hand, I will nix
it.  We need to stay on the good side of these people at NOC...

If anyone wishes to rough it, there is a shelter 0.8 miles South of NOC
on the trail.  Either direction on the trail, there should be a few
places to drop a tent.  Expect coooooooold weather...

If you are desperately poor, you can always sleep in your car.  That
won't be a problem...

For your non-hiking spouses and/or children, the Great Smokey Mountains
Railroad is running a train on Saturday (the 15th) from Bryson City. 
It is the Nantahala Gorge trip, and will actually be passing through
