A long time ago (I wish I had bought property in Florida then) I visited
Silver Springs and Weeki Wachee (the girls were curvy and cute but all wet) and
was impressed with the abundance of Florida Fauna and Flora. I remember seeing
Alligators in the Spring (rivers) and snakes in the trees. Good that you
didn't have any in the tree that snagged you. The water in the rivers was very
clear and there was a good introduction to nature. I recall a "bird-walk" at
Weeki Wachee that had sightings of Parrots and other creatures that was
something new and different for we northerners.

I will have to take a trip down memory land in person one of these days.
