to Dec 7th when the JapaneseBomb Pearl Harbor?  THe post 9/11 world was the 
same placethat existed before 9/11, the only difference was that the Americans 
realized that there where people who hated us.

No President, except George Bush, has ever had to deal with the realities of a Post 9/11 world. 
Dealing with people who kill 3000 of your fellow citizens is an expensive deal...especially if you want 
to keep them from killing 3000 more. Or would you rather let them have at it?
