One word - Iodine.  I have previously mentioned that I had 
concerns about Hepatitus A in contaminated water.  The 
disease can be asymptomatic and present real problems.  Also 
Great at killing all of the waterbourne bacteria and does a 
good job with the parasites.  If you decide to go with a 
water filter system go with one that has an iodine filter.

A lot of people like aqua mira (Chlorine Dioxide) and it is 
great for the parasites, but not too good for eliminating 
bacteria or viri (virus).  Me, I wouldn't risk it, besides I 
like the taste of iodine.

But many of us can't use iodine because of thyroid problems.  I would be worse off from the use of iodine than from using nothing.  I use bleach.  Yes, it does taste, especially if I use too much, but it reminds me of home and mom and all that stuff.  <G>  anklebear
