Okay then, how about getting a set of silk long underwear and socks for
night wear? Pack it with your bag to keep it dry. Wash it at town stops. It
will keep you bag cleaner and add to the warmth in return for minimal
weight and space. In a situation where you got unexpectedly cold weather it
could be used as an extra layer.
