[at-l] RE: AT sicks

"deep six" is a (British) cricketing term. A "six" is six runs scored
when the ball is hit over the boundary without bouncing, much akin to a
Johnny Damon home run. (A "four" is if the ball crosses the boundary
after bouncing). A "deep six" is when the batsman smashes a six right
back over the bowler's head - a little harder to do and much more
dramatic than a six to one side or the other.

After Chumley's bar and restaurant at 86 Bedford Street in Greenwich
Village, New York City - or so they say.

I think it's a bastardization of 'deep-six', which is to toss
overboard.
