Now, if these are Chocolate chips they might provide some energy for AT
hikers. If they are wooden perhaps they could be saved for campfires or wood
stoves. If they are paint chips perhaps enough can be gathered to decorate the
shelters along the trail. What colors would be chosen? Of course if they are
Cow chips then either fertilization of the poison ivy or stinging nettles along
the AT could be encouraged to hold down the crowds that creep along the trail.
I know that the Indians used these for their fires but would the odor be
enough to mask the regular hiker aroma that we have all come to enjoy? Chips --
what kind were they? Inquiring minds want to know.
