It started with a group of guys hiking in 2000 that bought a bunch of used
red work shirts with the name "Bill" from a little old lady at a yard sale in
Elk Park, NC. At the time they were called "the Bills'"
Now it's anyone. One of the originals, Jester, sets up a group campsite as a
gathering/meeting point at Trail Days and the Gathering. A few of them have
smaller get togethers during the year in various trail states. They have a
good time with goofy contests, breakfast and other meals and such, nothing
malicious.
