Gutsy struggles with choices and commitments, much as I do. She asks me, of 
all people, if she should be a no-show at the conference regarding 
abandonment anxiety. I love the irony, and suggest dumping the conference 
to provide an workshop on abandonment.

I could provide a word or two about abandonment anxiety. I also want to go 
to the Gathering _so_bad_that_it_hurts_. I'm working on closing down and 
opening up a few things. I've got plans to hike in November, and would love 
the opportunity to get some more pointers on how to use my new Speer 
hammock and Peapod. But there are things to be done, folks to be seen, 
family to hug and such.
