Most of the Hiking Poles that I have seen comes with loops attached to the
hand grips. Those are there for a purpose. I know that some weight weenies cut
them off but that is a big mistake. They are on the poles to give leverage,
to hang to poles from the wrist when the hands need to do something, and to
use in a number of other ways. So, what I am saying is that there are options,
choices, and hence freedom to move about the cabin for the Captain has turned
off the turbulence light.
