When I started backpacking I wore a 9.5 shoe.

A few trails and a few miles later, I now wear a 10.5
for most shoes, wear a size 11 Nike running shoe
(which I also use for hiking, noticed the Nikes run
larger than other shoes)

So no..you aren't the only one. :D
