[at-l] Hiking Journal on Ebay

Mic Lowther privately published his "Walking North" initially and it was years before he could get a publisher to take it. That is an excellent AT book which I first read by borrowing one of the copies that Mic lent out. It is now available in paperback from ATC and elsewhere. Never judge a book by it's publisher (or lack thereof). says Jim Bullard

This is still my all-time favorite hiking book. I first became aware of it through reading parts of it in "The Appalachian Trail Reader". And, yes, the first time I read it was when I got on Mic's list of the traveling books. What a guy! And the publishing of that book was SO beautiful.

While I have your attention, my e-mail program has a way to underline book titles, which I've done religiously ever since I got this program. I've just about given it up, though, because they never come back to me underlined. In other words, I send something to the list with the book title underlined, but, when it shows back up on my computer through the list, the title is just bare. What's happening here? Why doesn't it print right? Calling all geeks here!
