[at-l] Hurricane Forecast Paths (Ivan)

Kelly,

I agree that your part of Florida (as well as the rest of Florida and the
other nearby states) must stay on guard for any changes in the projected
path of Ivan (and also any other nasty hurricanes that pop up this year).
Hurricanes are just soooo damn unpredictable still, in spite of all the best
equipment, forecast models and intentions by the forecasters.

As for Florida's chances of getting hit by another hurricane soon, it's true
that this state and other coastal states are very vulnerable still. So many
things can change quickly (in terms of the hurricane's forward motion speed,
the high and low pressure systems that seem to be moving it in a particular
direction, the water temperatures that can strengthen or weaken the
hurricane quickly, etc.).

So, I just want to say:

Keep your hurricane shutters up and Good Luck to everyone -- except for
Hurricane Ivan and any other storms waiting in line out there! :-)

Cheryl / Swamp Blar

PS. I'm hoping to get out and enjoy the great outdoors more, in one way or
another, tomorrow......Maybe even a day hike. If it's raining, that could
be good thing because it won't be quite so hot and I don't mind being wet
anyway. :-)
