[at-l] Calling All Gearheads...

Re bags: Ditto re: range.

Also check out http://www.westernmountaineering.com/

I used their 16oz. (mine was actually 17 oz.) HighLite's with 0.85 ounce
EXTREMELITET shell fabric and 850+ goose down for my latest walk around. Got
down below down to rated 40*, by a few degrees -- no problem. Loved it.

I have also their older Apache Super DL which I love -- albeit it is a tad
over 2lbs for 15*. However, their new Apache Super MF come in at 2lbs for
15*.

re packs: I had good experience with Granite Gear's Vapor Trail -- except the
stock hip belt for a large (I have a long torso) came with a tad too large hip
belt for my waist. As a result the harder & rougher webbing in the belt
itself abraded the light weight material on the pad when the belt was drawn
too close to the buckle. Duck tape got me through the walk. The worn belt is
on its way to them and they promise to send a smaller replacement.
