[at-l] Geocaching on the AT

Shame. I wonder who's the bigger "A" on this one. This treatment makes
thru-hikers very popular. Bag'o'Trick's quiet time is sacrosanct,
apparently. I suppose he's never disturbed anyone in his life. Proud of
your signature, eh? rusty

Two A-holes trying to locate a cach hidden next the Pulpit Rock in PA ruined
my quality quiet time. After some back and foth hollering to each other, and
ten minutes or so of thrashing and bushwacking through the immediate wooded
area around the overlook they found their box, you know the one where you
take somethin' ya leave somethin'. Well I left "SOMETHIN" in the box for the
next geocacher and I hope they appreciate it as much as I appreciated their
intrusion. Keep that s_it off the AT. Bag'o'Tricks

Hi,

I've been off the list for about one month, doing real exciting things like
scraping and painting my house.

Not to start a controversy here, but I wonder if any of you are into
geocaching? Further: If so, have you placed or found caches on the AT? Do
you think geocaching spoils any aspect of hiking? What do you think of a
thruhiker that's 'caching?' Or is this a HYOH opinion? rusty
