Recommendation to Eldred supervisors may be made by Sept 3.

Of The Morning Call
Eldred Township planners expect to discuss a proposed driving track for high-performance sports cars that has drawn fire from environmentalists when they meet at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
Environmentalists fear that noise and air pollution from the track will destroy the township's rural setting and the nearby Appalachian Trail. The trail runs through the Kittatinny Ridge, which is a migratory path for many birds of prey and a dispersal path for black bears.

This is Muller's fourth go at building the course. His first three proposals were made in Berks County. In 1992, Muller proposed building a driving center in Maxatawny Township; he then turned to Richmond Township, where the Citizens for Richmond Heritage Association defeated the project.
His third try was in New Morgan, but the project again fell through.
