Do you have a source for that? Did you just make that one up? Did someone on
Fox claim this?

Even under the current administration, the FDA regulates food and dietary
supplements for safety. Drugs are appproved / regulated for efficacy. Drug
advertising is regulated for accuracy, but several things have been loosely
interpreted. Marketing to physicians is regulated, to assure that those pens
don't bribe us into selling more Dammital. There are "off label" indications
for many drugs, and drug companies get into trouble for marketing for those
(Abbott paid several hundred thousand for extravagant claims for Neurontin
recently.)

It is interesting that they don't regulate claims for water treatment vendors.
