"G (I can't recall right now)" is probably Gooch Gap.  The Gooch 
Mountain Shelter was very nice last year -- my son really got a kick out 
of the shelter mice. They were bold enough to come out at noon and 
inspect my pack while it was in the shelter.

Just talked to the folks at the new hostel -- it is sold out to a 
women's group.  Its probably either Neels gap or a hotel room in 
Blairsville.
