[at-l] SIA/IAT Hiking ...Windmills

Hi All

I just got back from a little selected hiking on the SIA/IAT. We started at 
the lighthouse at the northern terminus and ended at the Gite, half way through 
the Chic Chocs. We did not hike every thing in between, no road walks or 
bitch walks. I mean beach walks. We intended to do more but bugs, poor weather, a 
lot of government do and don'ts plus a lot of fees caused us to quit earlier 
than planned. 

There is some good hiking and great country, but it is definitely much 
different from the AT. If you hope to do it, do your homework first.

We passed a huge windmill farm on Rte 132 north of Matane. Hundreds of 
windmills. It was no where near as objectionable looking as I would have thought. At 
least now if anyone asks me if I have seen hundreds of windmills in one place 
I can say  "Yes I have. Have You?"
