OK, here's an example: the LA Times won't let me read an article that came up on my google AT news unless I register by filling in all the "required" spaces.  One of the required spaces is family income.  I'm not telling them that, honestly or lying.  They don't need to know my specific address, family history, etc.  I just skipped the article, but it may have been something I was really interested in.  I'll never know.  anklebear
