Has any lister done the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim?  If so, which route did you use (why did you choose that route and how long is it)?  Did you overnight at the bottom or do the trek in a day?  What time of year did you do the hike?  How tough was it?
What kind of shape were you in?

What books or articles about Grand Canyon hiking do you recommend?
